Plastics at FolderSys® – Carefully Selected Materials
Our products are designed for long-lasting performance and reliable everyday use. A long product lifespan can help use resources efficiently throughout the entire life cycle of a product. We select materials with clearly defined properties:

Materials Used in Our Product Range
PP (Polypropylene) Polypropylene (PP)
is the plastic most commonly used in our product range. As PP contains no chemical plasticisers, it remains neutral towards printing inks, documents and sensitive surfaces, making it document-safe. PP consists primarily of carbon and hydrogen and can be recycled through appropriate recycling systems. During complete incineration, polypropylene breaks down mainly into carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water (H₂O). Unlike chlorine-containing plastics, PP contains no chlorine.
PE (Polyethylene)
Our PE films contain no added plasticisers and no added heavy metals. Polyethylene (PE) consists primarily of carbon and hydrogen and is recyclable. Thanks to its low material weight, only a small amount of material is required for many applications. During complete incineration, PE mainly breaks down into carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water (H₂O). Unlike chlorine-containing plastics, polyethylene contains no chlorine.
PVC is one of the most widely used and extensively studied plastic materials, with decades of practical application and research. We use REACH-compliant PVC compounds in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006. The materials used are 6P-Free and do not contain any of the six regulated phthalate plasticizers (DEHP, DBP, BBP, DINP, DIDP, and DNOP).
FolderSys also offers PVC-free zipper bags as an alternative to PVC-containing products. These bags are made from EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate), contain no added plasticizers, and are characterized by their high flexibility and durability.
PVC-free Alternatives (EVA)
Our PVC-free zipper bags are made from EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) and do not require the use of plasticizers. The material is characterized by its high flexibility, good resistance to many oils and fats, and long-lasting softness. In addition, EVA is generally recyclable and can be reprocessed within suitable recycling systems.
FolderGreen® - Our post-consumer-recycling products
PCR plastic is produced from processed post-consumer plastic waste. For our translucent document wallets, we use material containing recycled post-consumer content that meets the same functional requirements as our standard products.
By using recycled plastic, the demand for virgin plastic is reduced, and existing plastic materials remain in the recycling loop for longer, supporting a more efficient use of resources.
We will continue to expand this product range.
From film extrusion and toolmaking to processing and finishing, FolderSys offers everything from a single source.
Using state-of-the-art extrusion lines, we manufacture polypropylene (PP) films in thicknesses ranging from 20 to 2,000 microns, available in virtually any required color and with a wide variety of embossing options. Film surfaces can be customized using offset printing, embossing, or screen printing to meet specific design and branding requirements. Cutting dies and forming tools are developed in our in-house toolmaking department, while further processing is carried out on modern welding systems using ultrasonic or heat-contact technology.
We offer highly flexible manufacturing capabilities, ranging from large-volume production runs on integrated production lines to small batches produced through staged individual processes. This enables a high degree of customization and allows us to efficiently implement customer-specific requirements.

FolderSys® products can be ordered individually or in small packaging units and are identified with a corresponding multi-level EAN code structure. For small order quantities, no surcharge is applied thanks to our very low free-delivery threshold.
Shipping with GLS: The CO₂ emissions generated during transport are calculated by GLS and offset through the support of certified external climate protection projects.
